Waihe’e Beach Park


One of Maui’s best kept secrets, this beach park offers gorgeous views of undeveloped Maui coastlines and great treasure hunting.

Location: Waihe’e Beach Park, Halewaiu Road, Wailuku, HI 96753 click for map

Facilities: free parking, bathrooms, outdoor shower, freshwater hookup for hoses (think slip ‘n slide) tables and benches, beach access for hiking miles in either direction

What to bring: beach gear, a jacket, bags for collecting trash or treasures, drinking water and snacks

How to give back once you fall in love with this place: there is a monthly beach cleanup at a nearby green sea turtle nesting ground, meet at Kukona Place, Ka’ehu Beach in Waiehu on the 4th Sunday of every month from 9 am to noon. for more info visit Hawai’i Wildlife Fund
