We like to start our Kahului Community Park adventure at the new playground just off Onehe’e street. In the afternoon, there is shade and breeze.
The natural ravine surrounding Kahului Community park draws cool breezes from the ocean up through the park. After testing climbing skills and relaxing under the shade trees, we walk, run or bike up the paved paths.
How great is it that we find two more play structures at the end of the path under the Kukui trees?
We then make meander the paths across the bridge and past the disc golf and ball fields to find these fantastically steep grassy hills: perfect for cardboard sledding. Running back up the hill is a great workout too!
